On the morning of September 19, 2023, University of Science and Technology, UD (UD-DUT) and MIDAS Information Technology Co., Ltd. (MIDAS IT) – Korea signed a MoU at the UD-DUT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overview of the signing ceremony<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attending the Signing Ceremony, on the side of UD-DUT are: Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam – Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Le Tien Dung – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tao Quang Bang – Head of Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Lan \u2013 Director of Science, Technology and Engineering Institute, DUT; MSc. Nguyen Thanh Cuong \u2013 Deputy Head of Facilities Management Department; Dr. Phan Hoang Nam \u2013 Vice Dean, MSc. Tran Thi Phuong Anh \u2013 Vice Dean of the Faculty of Road and Bridge Engineering and interested officials and lecturers. On the side of MIDAS IT – Korea, there are: Mr. Eddie Hong – Asia & Pacific Regional Manager; Mr. Ken Park – Vietnam Business Developer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam – Chairman of the University Council expressed his joy when welcoming and signing a cooperation agreement with MIDAS IT – Korea. He said that the University always appreciates cooperation with businesses, especially businesses that develop specialized application software such as MIDAS IT. I hope this cooperation signing is the beginning of a strong relationship between the University and your Company in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Eddie Hong – Director of Asia Pacific region shared at the signing ceremony<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Eddie Hong – Director of Asia Pacific region said that in recent years, MIDAS software in the Vietnamese market has developed very quickly, the Company’s need to recruit talent is increasing. UD-DUT is a large university in the Central regions as well as the whole country. He hopes that with this cooperation, the two sides will jointly develop and train many MIDAS software experts in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two sides discussed the content of the signing<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is known that MIDAS IT – Korea will sponsor the University of Science and Technology, UD with 40 licenses with full features for students and 2 licenses for research use by staff and lecturers at the University. MIDAS IT will also send experts to guide and support students and lecturers in using the software in the beginning, as well as provide support in organizing seminars on MIDAS software applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Phan Hoang Nam \u2013 Vice Dean of the Faculty of Road and Bridge Engineering shared<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Phan Hoang Nam – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Road and Bridge Engineering said, “MIDAS software is one of the popular software used by Vietnam companies in the design and analysis of structures. The need to recruit workers with knowledge of MIDAS software is increasing. Applications of MIDAS software has also been included in the curriculum for a long time in the subjects of Applied Informatics belonging to the majors managed by the faculty (e.g., Transportation Construction Engineering, Building Information Modeling and Artificial Intelligence in Civil Engineering). Students have access to the full range of count power and tissue Modules in MIDAS software help students have the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the industrial needs.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This company specializes in the fields of civil, structural, geotechnical, and mechanical engineering software development along with analysis and design support. Parts _ MIDAS software has been developed since 1989 and has been used commercially since 1996.
